Subject: USE OF LQ-3 VALVE IN SINGLE CIRCUIT SYSTEMS

This is to advise you that the LQ-3 and LQ-3-A’s can be used in a single circuit system

to replace the LQ-2 Limiting and Quick Release Valve and the Two-Way Control Valve,

only if a relay valve is added to the front axle system.

If you will note on your SD-67 under General Operations, page 3, the delivery port of the

LQ-3 or LQ-3-A is to be connected to the relay valve portion of the front axle adaptive

braking modulator.

Again, we want to stress, “Do not substitute the LQ-3 or LQ-3-A for the LQ-2 Limiting

and Quick Release Valve and the Two-Way Control Valve unless you add a relay valve

.”
